An animated/cartoon American TV show produced by William Hanna & Joseph Barbera, The Flintstones began airing 50 years ago today. Set in the town of Bedrock, the main characters included Fred Flintstone, his wife Wilma, their daughter Pebbles, and pet dinosaur, Dino, their neighbors were Barney Rubble, his wife Betty, and their son Bamm-Bamm. The show eventually ended in 1966, but it’s characters have had several various revivals through the years.
