Cinco de Mayo

I love living in New Mexico (most days), & the mixed cultural heritage of Santa Fe, we all have our own personal histories that blend with the national & global histories going on around us, & I have a deep respect for that. 5 cool tatts to share on this day:

Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument

blog post: 26.May.2009

an area I’ve hiked in twice this spring, in New Mexico, U.S.A., this place has been a National Monument for about 8 and a half years, the “tent rocks” were formed from volcanic eruptions that happened millions of years ago,  tiny little Apache Tears are scattered along the trail, the Slot Canyon really reminds me of what a little pebble I am in this world, this world of wonder..

St. Elizabeth’s

Help can come in many forms
to aid one through life’s brutal storm;
  a light to guide you in the night,
    a soothing voice to calm a fight,
Encouragement for when you’re down,
A smile to chase away a frown.
  a bed can end a horrid day,
Advice can stop an addict’s need
  and work will sow financial seeds
All these things can help you; true
  but please be humble in your view;
    don’t be a child, don’t hold your breath…

Welcome To St. Elizabeth’s
