was born 65 years ago today, an agnostic, a lawyer, a father of 6 children
he was part of the Wallace v. Jaffree case which eventually reached the U.S.A. Supreme Court in 1985, and was ruled in his favor, helping keep religion out of public schools, he was awarded “Freethinker Of The Year” by the Freedom From Religion Foundation (also in 1985)
a semi-worthy watch
a 2006 film focused mostly on an Evangelical (to be less specific a Christian) summer camp for children held in North Dakota, U.S.A., with clips from a “Ring Of Fire” radio personality played in between here & there for a little balance… the footage gets disturbing, the footage gets ridiculous
I’m not going to spend a lot of time dissecting Jesus Camp, at least not right now, but I will utter my strong disagreement with one comment in particular from the film by stating: Liberalism is not dead; not even in North Dakota.
