Benjamin Harrison
August 20, 2008
was born 175 years ago today
he was the 23rd president of the U.S.A., serving from March 4, 1889 – March 3, 1893 as such, & as a politician for the Republican Party
he was one of the presidents who were elected by the electoral college, but not the popular vote
he was also known as “Little Ben” sometimes, as well as the “centennial president” cuz’ of the 100 years passed since the first U.S.A. President, George Washington had been inaugurated, at the time of Benjamin Harrison’s inauguration
he was born in Ohio, & passed away in Indiana, he was a lawyer, a Presbyterian, reporter (for the Indiana Supreme Court), a brevetted brigadier general, a (Republican) (Indiana) senator, & who knows what other things
